Dr. Albina Gayoso is a UNITAR-certified trainer, Doctor of Political Science, social researcher, and evaluation specialist with experience across the United Nations, Australian Government, academia, and the disability sector.

In 2023, Albina's life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma of the spinal cord, leaving her a full-time wheelchair user. This experience gave her a unique perspective—not only as a researcher and educator, but as someone who relies on compassionate, high-quality care every day.

Combining international expertise with lived experience, Dr. Albina developed this training to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Her mission is to empower carers and care providers with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to deliver care that is respectful, person-centred, and genuinely compassionate.

Because great care isn't just about knowing what to do—it's about understanding the person behind the care.
